Our History As A Commercial Builder
Dunlap Construction started as a small, family owned residential construction firm back in 1979 and quickly grew into other sectors, including commercial, municipal, and medical. Now, 40 years later, we are still family owned and a prominent contractor in WNC. We are honored to be the commercial builder of choice for so many local businesses when they need remodeling or a new build. Here’s a look at just a few of the projects we have completed.
Airport Rd. Marathon
It wouldn’t be Asheville without a custom bar in a gas station store! We installed a wood planked bar and feature wall around the taps. A unique herringbone brick pattern on either side adds adds texture and interest. We also installed rows of refrigerators for grab-and-go beer and drinks and updated the bathroom with pops of accent tile.
Strauss Law Firm
We were able to match the 40 year old brick on the Strauss Law Firm building when we put on a new addition and did some renovations inside. Our team was able to work quickly and stay out of the way of daily operations, so the firm was able to stay open during the whole project. We do our best to reduce downtime of the business.
Hair Gallery
The owners at Hair Gallery had us refresh the inner and outer entry. We installed stone columns and accent trim on the front of the gable and door. To modernize the interior, we put in a custom mosaic tile wrapped reception desk.
Blue Ridge Humane Society Thrift Store
Additions are a great way to improve the function of a space. They must be done with careful planning by an experienced team. Our goal is always to make these projects as seamless as possible with the existing building, so it appears as if it has always been there. We loved working on this project, and the staff at Blue Ridge Humane Society were so appreciative that they invited us to the official ribbon cutting ceremony!
